THE SOUND STORYTELLING WORKSHOP

 

This workshop is aimed to people interested in any artistic, visual and sound activity – photographers, video artists, cinematographers, painters, musicians – who wish to start or deepen the audiovisual language, focusing mainly on design, editing and post-production of sound for multimedia & transmedia projects.

 

WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES

 

In order to help the professional or visual artist in the tasks of planning and development of the necessary tasks to include in the best possible way the sound elements of his audiovisual work, this intensive workshop is presented from a practical point of view. The student will have the opportunity to learn all those basic theoretical concepts that will be of great help when it comes to understanding the sound and how to capture it with the appropriate equipment, how to edit it and how to improve it easily with some post-production tasks.

WORKSHOP PROGRAM

 

1 – PRE-PRODUCTION: Introduction to Visual Audio and Acoustic Perspectives concepts. How to register the sound, how to classify it so that later it can be correctly edited in the editing software.

2 – PRODUCTION AND ACQUISITION: Introduction to audio equipment. Gear recommendations. Professional audio recording techniques in the field (indoor and outdoor)

3 – EDITING AND AUDIOVISUAL RHYTHM: We’ll discover the rhythm and tempo of each artistic expression in order to build a “Sound Landscape” that perfectly converges with the final editing.

4 – POSTPRODUCCIÓN: Introduction to various techniques for fixing and improving audio samples, including the final mix (compression, equalization, noise reduction, etc.), through standard post-production tools.

3 DAYS WITH EXTENDED PRACTICES AND ANALYSIS ( 27 HOURS )
